I continue to be enthralled with the way that different shapes of glass create startling new effects. This time, I've tilted the glass so it hangs off the edge of the design, which really makes me feel like I'm coloring outside of the lines!
To create the focal piece for this pendant, I weave sheets of fabric from rose & yellow 14/20 gold fill wire or silver wire using a medieval fingerweaving technique. Then I cut this fabric into smaller pieces to embed behind the glass. The glass both magnifies the weave, giving it more definition, as well as collects the light, making the entire piece glisten.
The pendant is " high and " wide. The bail is large enough to accommodate most Omega collars as well as most larger chains.
