I just can't seem to get away from my favorite glass shape - the pyramid! Here I created an oval to set off the pyramid, reminiscent of the cartouches put around the names of ancient pharaohs.
To create the focal piece for this bracelet, I weave sheets of fabric, from either silver or rose & yellow 14/20 gold fill wire using a medieval fingerweaving technique. Then I cut this fabric into smaller pieces to embed behind the pyramid shaped glass. The glass both magnifies the weave, giving it more definition, as well as collecting the light, which makes the entire piece glisten.
The dimentions of the largest focal point of this bracelet is 1 1/4 inches long and 5/8 inches high at the widest point.
The clasp on this bracelet is a magnet clasp. This bracelet is dainty enough that the spiral clasp just didn't work well for it.
